Torch Ceremony Details:

• Torch Relay: The ceremony will begin with a torch relay, where selected representatives from military families will carry the torch through significant locations, both virtually and in person. Each leg of the relay will highlight the diverse backgrounds and experiences of military children.

• Virtual Participation: International participants can join the relay by sharing videos and photos of their own symbolic torch runs, creating a global tapestry of support and solidarity.

• Grand Finale: The final leg of the relay will culminate at the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City in Arlington, Virginia. Here, the torch will be handed over to a distinguished military child, who will light the ceremonial flame, marking the official start of the 2025 World Expo.

• Speeches and Tributes: The ceremony will feature speeches from military leaders, child advocates, and representatives from military families, sharing inspiring stories and messages of hope.

• Cultural Performances: Enjoy cultural performances that celebrate the rich heritage and diversity of military families, adding a vibrant and festive atmosphere to the event.

• The Main Events: Military Children Got Talent "World Search", Unbreakable Crowns Awards, and... (yes, it is a cliff hanger)

Event Highlights:

• 3K In-Person Run: Whether you’re running in your hometown or joining us at the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City, your participation helps shine a light on the readiness resilience of military children worldwide.

• Team and Individual Challenges: Form a team with friends, family, or colleagues, or take on the challenge solo. Track your progress and see how you stack up against participants worldwide.

• Inclusive Participation: Teams can represent their military bases worldwide, child-serving organizations, veteran organizations, supporters of military children, public schools, DoDea schools, and alike. Participants can run, walk, or push, ensuring that everyone, including persons with disabilities, can join the celebration.

• Run in Memory Of: Runners can choose to participate in memory of a loved one, adding a personal and heartfelt touch to their journey.

• Relay Teams: For those who cannot run the entire 3K, form a team relay to participate. This allows everyone to contribute and participate in the event, regardless of their physical capabilities.​
