What is aerospace?
The word aerospace is essentially a combination of two words: aeronautics and spaceflight. Therefore, aerospace deals with the design, manufacturing, and maintenance of aircrafts or spacecrafts and can be thought of as the science of flight within Earth’s atmosphere as well as outside it. Aerospace is the engineering and science of flying in Earth’s atmosphere and outer space. It is the space comprising the Earth’s atmosphere and the space beyond.
What is aviation?
Aviation, on the other hand, means flying of aircraft or operating a plane. It is all things aircraft-related within the atmosphere of Earth. Aviation is focused on aircraft operation and maintenance, the design of commercial or military aircraft and the management of air traffic. Aerospace is a high technology industry that includes aircraft and parts used for civil aviation and military aviation.
