Meet AMERICA’S IDEAL MISS D.C At The Military Children 2024 World Expo!

Keylin Perez, a trailblazing first-generation Guatemalan American, is a distinguished graduate of Coppin State University, achieving Magna Cum Laude honors with a bachelor's degree in nursing and military science. Throughout her academic journey, Keylin was honored with the Dean Award for her exceptional performance in the Nursing Program cohort and graduated from the prestigious Honors Program.


An esteemed member of Gamma Alpha Beta, Chi Eta Phi Sorority Inc., Keylin received the esteemed Beta Image Award in 2023, recognizing her as an outstanding undergraduate student in the eastern region.


Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps, she serves on active duty at the renowned Walter Reed Medical Center.


With a remarkable military career that began in 2017 in the U.S. Army Reserve, Keylin's dedication led her to compete in the Best Warrior competition in 2019 and achieve the rank of sergeant. Notably, she held the title of the 91st Miss Coppin State University, becoming the

first HBCU Latina in the DMV to receive this honor. Keylin's leadership extended to her role as Editor-In-Chief of the Coppin Courier, reviving the publication after a 20-year hiatus.


A passionate advocate for mental health in the military, Keylin aspires to establish her own medical journal on the subject. Currently, she serves as America’s Ideal Miss District of Columbia 2024 and is set to compete for the prestigious title of America's Ideal Miss 2024 this July. Additionally, Keylin is the author of the inspiring devotional book, "Let Your Light Shine," offering a 25-day journey to embrace grace and peace in the midst of chaos.
