WRP PROGRAM AT DOD



The Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) is a government-wide program co-sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Defense. The goal of the program is to increase the representation of highly motivated college students and recent graduates with disabilities through summer internships or permanent jobs.


To participate in the WRP, students and recent graduates must:


Apply through your school's career center or disability services office.

  • Be a US Citizen

  • Have a Schedule A qualified disability

  • Be a current secondary university,

  • Recent graduate from a U.S. accredited college or university.


To participate in the WRP, students and recent graduates must:

undergraduate, graduate/doctoral student or university.

  • Make connections with potential employers

  • Learn about federal government and private-sector employment

  • opportunities for individuals with disabilities

  • Get support from a network of professionals with disabilities

  • Increase your chances of getting hired after graduation
